Should I connect ChatGPT to my data room?
Connecting ChatGPT to a data room is not the same as the room running its own model.
Consumer ChatGPT may train on what you paste.
ChatGPT Team, Enterprise, and the API do not train by default.
The files still leave the room and go to OpenAI.
Get that in writing before you paste a cap table.

Do the files leave if I paste them?

Consumer paste loses the live-packet column. Do not connect can win if you will not run a model at all. ChatGPT Team still sends the packet to OpenAI.
Can a data room stop a phone camera?
No. Nobody can stop a phone camera. A view-only room and a no-train policy do not cover a photograph of the screen.

Is ChatGPT Team the same as pasting into a free account?
No.
A free or Plus login may train unless you opt out.
ChatGPT Business (Team), Enterprise, and the API do not train by default.

If the vendor says "we do not train," did the file still leave my room?
Yes, if you pasted it or connected ChatGPT or Claude.
No-train is not no-leave.
The bytes sit with that vendor under their retention rules.
Can I ask the room's own model instead of connecting ChatGPT?
Yes, if the room publishes no-train and no-keep on a legal page.
That call stays with the room vendor.
It is not a ChatGPT connector.
